Case Study 1
Health and Safety induction

We have recently completed a safety video demonstrating to staff the correct way to approach manual handling and work safely in different environments.

A message from senior management helped give the program added importance and a number of real life scenarios were incorporated to increase awareness. A competition resulted in Staff filming their safety thoughts on iPhones and the footage was added to the program. The end result was delivered through DVD, Intranet and tablet devices. Graphics used in the program have also been multipurposed for use in newsletters and themed posters

What we did

Helped script the program.

Reviewed future planned communications in order to make the video relevant for longer.

Did site visits with safety managers beforehand to confirm all details.

Prepared a series of simple animated graphics to help demonstrate a number of workplace processes.

Filmed in numerous locations with staff demonstrating safe work practices.

Prepared a brief so staff could do their own filming on phones.

Cut the program together with a comprehensive menu so various segments could be reviewed on demand.

Case Study 2
Policy Directory

The challenge of making information readily accessible to staff led us to create an interactive directory that can be emailed and used on any computer or printed on site if required.

We took what was a very basic document, reviewed the content and redesigned it to match the company’s brand. New photography was taken and added, existing photos were used to great effect and information was broken down into easy to read layouts. The final product had an interactive menu making it very easy to navigate and link directly to websites, video files and emails.

It was distributed electronically and is easy to keep on desktops or view on portable devices.

Following the rollout, additional versions of the project were created focussing on more indepth information and potentially produce in other languages.

What we did

Helped the client put together their information in a manageable format, sorted information and edited the content.

Prepared draft layouts in line with the companys branding.

Developed a comprehensive series of contacts with direct email links.

Produced a menu that was easy to navigate and add to in future.

Reviewed a number of spin off communications that could easily be added to the directory longer term.

Case Study 3
Corporate videos with Safe Work techniques

Corporate videos require a high level of attention to detail and our expertise in video production and Health & Safety go hand in hand when working with virtually any client.

We have been involved in producing a number of corporate videos recently that have required upfront planning to ensure safety is strongly displayed and there is no room for misunderstanding. We work closely with clients to ensure anything filmed on site, inhouse, in transit or on display is both safe to use and to view. We assess backgrounds so there are no real or perceived hazards and we monitor workers' clothing and PPE to make sure of correct compliance. We understand that safety oversights when filming, regardless of whether live or staged, result in wasted time and resources.

Some of what we do

Review safety at filming locations to create a checklist of what needs to be done prior to filming.

Help clients understand how different safety initiatives will translate into video format.

Prepare briefs so clients and crew understand the rationale behind filming requirements.

Help accentuate safety messages so they come across strongly on screen.

Help script programs to show safety in its most positive light.

Review other safety communications to ensure filming delivers the same messages.

Visit sites with safety managers beforehand to confirm safety needs and review possible issues.

Case Study 4
Maximising Safe Work communications

When planning any safety campaign, we review the possible reach of the communication and develop a plan that enables the client to get maximum use out of their investment.

A video primarily made for safety training could also have applications for inductions and a video shot around celebrating a safe work milestone could potentially be used as part of a CSR strategy. We pride ourselves on helping clients to understand the bredth their communications might cover and whilst sometimes what we produce is very specific, a little bit of creative thinking can usually deliver some outstanding flow on effects. Long term thinking and review of KPI's can be extensively boosted by thoughtful communications.

Some of what we do

We help clients look at all the touchpoints in their business and assess what a current project could potentially achieve.

We help assess existing video and photographic assets and extend their use whenever possible.

Training room videos (especially showing correct equipment technique and use) can easily be accessible on locations using phones and QR codes.

We help clients use their safety IP to create awards programs and staff incentives that highlight safety achievements.

Often we are involved in planning out projects that can be split to suit different audiences and equally can be updated cost effectively.

Given the global reach of many corporate clients, we also provide translated content that is considerate of local cultures and customs.

We help clients produce communications that can be shown to inductees, staff, management, contractors, clients and investors and also be utilised in public relations, trade events and media opportunities.
